Hello,
I received this rather beatiful rock from my mother after she returned from a trip to North Africa, and I am wondering if any knows what it exactly is? I tried to do some research on my own, but it's rather difficult for a layman like me to come up with a reliable identification of the type of mineral. Below are some pictures. Any help would be very much appreciated!
